Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Falls lives up to it´s billing. Eleanor Rosevelt said upon seing the falls,¨Poor Niagra....looks like a water spicket compared to Iguaza!¨Not so sure about that today with the water levels lower than normal due to lack of rain, but it is still mighty impressive! We had a great tour guide in Carlos who took us first to Devil´s Throat on the Argentine side, which provides the best view of the falls. After a nice lunch at the Sheraton Hotel, we took a raft trip on the Iguazu River up to the closest viewing point we could get to the falls due to low water levels. We then crossed the border into Brazil witnessing a most beautiful sunset. After checking into the comfortably elegant Hotel das Cataratus, we enjoyed a typical Brazilan barbeque around the pool while we listened to Brazilan samba music! We meet Carlos in the morning for a tour of the Brazilan side and some serious bird watching!

Gorgeous photos!!

You've no doubt heard the news about flights from London to U.S. --- glad you are where you are, if you can't be here!! Be alert to changes in carry-on luggage for next week's travel home.

Take care of each other!
Mucho Love, Mom
