Don't cry for us.....we're in Argentina!

Argentina is awesome! We left our enchanting stay at Peuma Hue Estancia yesterday to eight inches of snow! It was a scene from a Currier and Ives Christmas card. We were very sad to say goodbye to our newest friends Evelyn, Marcelo and the Peuma Hue family - they were simply incredible in making our four days on the estancia and skiing unforgettable. We shopped in Bariloche (yes, Hilary, we got you something!) before boarding our two-hour delayed flight to Buenos Aires! Fortunately we arrived in time to meet our new Aussie friends Sheree and Andy at the Alvear Hotel bar before heading off for dinner and tango show! The show was spectacular! Today's comprehensive tour of Buenos Aires with our great guide Maria included stops at the Plaza de Mayo, the Casa Rosa (White House), Metropolitan Cathedral, Recoleta Church and Cementario (where Eva Peron is burried), Colon Opera House, Rose Garden, Puerto Madero (the newest and most modern barrio, San Telmo (the historic cobblestone barrio), La Boca (the wild bohemian barrio), and shopping on Florida Avenue and in the Recoleta district where our hotel (Alvear Palace Hotel) is conveniently located. We can certainly understand why everyone raves about Buenos Aires. It is a combination of Paris, London, San Francisco, and many other beautiful major cities of the world. With it's 13 million people, it is one of the world's largest cities but doesn't feel that way. The people are extremely friendly, sophisticated and good looking. Clark even got to do the tango with a lady in La Boca - I'll let you be the judge of his taste in women when you see the photo! We're off to high tea at 4:30pm (guests of the hotel who also upgraded us to a grand suite) and meeting our Aussie friends again for dinner tonight...our last with them until we eventually get to Australia where they have promised to be our private tour guides! We have another full day in Buenos Aires tomorrow so I am sure there are more tales to come from this magnificent city!

If you can't get a good look at her face...THAT WOMAN WAS GROSS!!! She came up to me and said "picture?" and I said "no thanks." Next thing I know shes got her leg around me telling me to look in her eyes. It was like staring at a 60 year old lizard. Just thought I'd explain myself! Have a nice day.
